Marketing Generators is an academic competition in the field of Marketing, first launched in 2021. After four successful seasons, it has attracted nearly 5,000 contestants, including international students and has become a well-regarded platform for students to challenge themselves, sharpen their strategic thinking, and stay ahead of emerging marketing trends.
The competition is organized by the Margen Club - Faculty of Commerce of Van Lang University, under the guidance of faculty members who are experienced professionals and experts in the marketing industry. Marketing Generators offers not only a playground for creativity and innovation but also a bridge connecting students with real-world marketing practices and industry insights.

As the competition among brands grows fiercer, creating differentiation is no longer solely about pure creativity but also about the strategic application of technological power. Artificial Intelligence (AI) is becoming a second brain for marketers, helping them analyze behavior, forecast trends, and craft experiences that exceed expectations. For the younger generation who have grown up alongside technology, AI represents a fertile ground for experimentation, innovation, and the creation of new value in modern marketing.
Marketing Generators Season 5 with the theme “Innovate with AI. Marketing Strategize for Impact” is a call to action for students to explore the potential of AI in developing impactful and practical marketing solutions that embody innovation, sustainability, and a strong sense of social responsibility.
INNOVATE WITH AI - MARKETING STRATEGIZE FOR IMPACT
Round 1. PULSE
Form a group of 3-5 members and register via link.
Complete an online multiple-choice test focusing on Marketing knowledge, practical application, and IQ-based thinking.
The Top 20 teams achieving the highest scores will be selected to advance to Round 2.
Round 2. TRANSFORM
TOP 20 will prepare a Marketing plan for a sponsor’s brand.
Format: Online.
Select Top 4 teams for the Final Round.
Round 3. AMPLIFY
The Top 4 teams will present their Marketing Plan.
Mini challenge: Judges ask a creative product question. Teams use AI to generate the answer (max 3 prompts). Only AI outputs can be used. No extra discussion allowed.
Format: Offline at Van Lang University.
Open to college and university students currently enrolled worldwide.
Participate in teams of 3–5 members. Individual applicants are welcome; the Organizing Committee will assist with team matching.

The competition is open to all students currently enrolled in universities and colleges all over the world who are passionate about marketing.
Participants may register either individually or in teams (from three to five members).
Each participant/team is allowed to register only once throughout the entire competition period.
Participants must comply with all rules and regulations set by Van Lang University and the Organizing Committee.
Finalists of Marketing Generators Seasons 1, 2, 3, and 4 are not eligible to participate in Marketing Generators 5.
All competition content and submissions must be truthful, accurate, original, and independently produced, and must not be copied from any source.
Any acts of cheating, plagiarism, or the use of fake or invalid accounts will result in disqualification.
All submissions must be sent by English and to the Organizing Committee in the correct format, within the specified deadlines, and meet the presentation quality requirements of each competition round.
